the ending of 2010 the beginning of 2011

Time flies. today is the last day of the tiger year. and i feel i have not done much during the year except for i've finally tried my first marathon! It's time to self reflect again and rediscover the strength n faith within me in order to gear up for another new year!

married life vs single life

Being married to me, means you have a special someone to share your everyday life with. you dun have to impress ur luv one by looking perfect or acting perfect all the time. you are comfortable with each other n care for each other in many ways. when u marry the right person, u call he/she ur soulmate. your time is no longer just your time. your time has to be shared between u and ur soulmate. you are committed to each other. and of coz spending time together is supposed to be one of the happiest moment besides spending ur own quality time by urself/ with frens.

Being single to me, means you have the luxury of freedom in living your own life, whether you wan it simple, busy, lazy, challenging or meaningful in your own context. you can spend quality time doing things that you like, spending time with your family and frens. you set your priorities and you live with it with no regrets. you may get some stress from the society becoz being single is not the norm when u reach certain age. you just have to learn how to handle/face it lightly.

you have to be prepared to get mean comments eg. "is there something wrong w him/her? he/she is oredi 37 but not married yet" "eee.... so old who the hell will ever want him/her?" "you re single & ur life is boring" "married life is more interesting"
this is nothing if you know how to take ignorant comments lightly and try to have a more forgiving heart.

to me, whether you re married or single, you need to have an objective in life and lead the life that will make you happy.

i wish ppl around me can be more kind with their words coz mean words can be hurtful especially when it's coming out from someone close..

I always have guts to do some unusual things b'coz most of the time i think too highly of myself in handling the consequences after tat. well.. tat's just me.

wow.. realised i havent posted for more than a month!

when i stepped out this morning, it was bright n shine.. then when we were doing step class half way it started pouring..

weather is really unstable & strange today.. i wonder if it's because of the sad incident happened yesterday at step class??

distorted sunday routine

my routine was a bit unusual this sun coz went for a morning run at botanical garden. it's really a nice place to run. i hope i can do more runs there soon :) after tat went for a 30min spinning coz according to my gym mates spinning is good for relaxing the leg muscle after runs. i was rushing like mad after e spinning coz i need to dress up a lil for my frens' wedding lunch.. pheew.. i managed to rush back to gym for my usual step class.. haha..

jealousy, envy & competition (especially among women) are scary. even the nicest 2 women i know.. when they were jealous, they became very mean.. the situation can be quite ugly.. well as long as one does not frame-up/ hurt someone out of jealousy i beliv it's ok to feel jealous once in a while.. as long as one knows how to control it...and try to turn jealousy into envy then to admiration? i dunno. But you definitely have the power to decide n make e rite choice.

i dunno since when & for watever reason i've fallen in love with step so much that my life has been about step almost everyday. Day after day; week after week; and maybe year after year!

Fellow coliks do not understand why i m always so busy (when i couldn't join their outings) and they think i m a gym freak. For example, this is a normal conversation always happen between me & my colik(s).

"J****, where are u going later?"

"err, meeting gym."

"oh ya, wat's new."

"hmm."

"you exercise too much. it's bad for health"

I'll roll my eyes and say, "haha.. very funny"

at least i know very clearly that i enjoy every minute of it so far. U focus on the step movements while enjoying the music and u forget about all the unhappiness for a while. and i'm quite sure only my few gym mates will truely understand this ;)

i'm shocked. shocked by wat she's just said. if it's not becoz i wan b to be happy i wont even agree to this. n now wat she thinks is we are using her as a "spare tire"?!?! lending out a name to someone who cares so much for u is so difficult?! and not counting the benefit she gains from it. how can one be so unappreciative? this time i choose "silence" to react to the unpleasant situation. she seriously needs help. i think. although i do laundry evryday. but i dun think i'm capable of brain washing

this morning, when open up my FB acc.. i saw TMP ppl posted some news on one of them who crashed during their nite ride yesterday.. and they can light heartedly tell u "it's ok" "he just got 2 deep cuts on his knee & a chipped tooth" OMG OMG.. ever since i started cycling.. i keep hearing cyclists get hit/ killed like almost every week! Argghh.. one xiao qiang just came out from no where & hid before i could kill it!! no mood to write now.. i'll continue tomorrow hopefully

my first ride in 2010 after a long break since sept 09.. as usual butt suffered..waist n arms re aching after the ride. but really love it love the speed n the wind blowing on my face. but need to really try using /testing out the gears as i still struggled to keep up the pace while going uphill
